Susan L. Brockus, DVM, MPH
Veterinarian/Owner of Peaceful Paws Veterinary Services, LLC
My love for animals started during my childhood growing up on our family farm in the rural area of Escalon, CA. We had dogs, cats, geese, chickens, a quarter horse, and a Shetland pony on our farm and I loved all of them! One of my favorite memories when I was 9 years old was telling my parents I was going to be a veterinarian when I grew up!
I attended Oklahoma State University, College of Veterinary Medicine, and obtained my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1985.
In addition to veterinary medicine, I was interested in public health and obtained a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Iowa in 2004.
During my career, I have worked in companion animal practice, critical care and emergency medicine, and public health.
Over the years, I have recognized how important it is for families to have a calm and peaceful setting for their final time with their beloved pets. In 2014 I started my own business, Peaceful Paws Veterinary Services, LLC, to provide in-home euthanasia services for dogs and cats throughout Reno and Sparks.
I have been married for 26 years and enjoy spending time with my family and my cats.
My hobbies include running, swimming, weightlifting, and reading.
